Live music, filmed live at Mystic Hot Springs, in Monroe, Utah. A very unique, magical spot to see live music, camp, hangout, and even soak with the band. I have been coming here for seven years and counting, and have even helped with the filming of these wonderful videos. A very intimate setting to see and enjoy live music. I hope you enjoy these videos, and if you ever find yourself in the area stop on by for an awesome, unique experience.

Back in 1995, on his way home to Denver Colorado, coming home from the Grateful Dead shows in Las Vegas, driving his big, blue, airbrushed, “hippie bus” Mike Ginsburg and his family decide to find a spot to camp for the night.

He was heading east on I-70, when he noticed on the map that they were close to a hot springs, so they decide to pull in there for some much needed rest. The place was more or less deserted, and was in dire need of repairs. He took an instant liking to the place, feeling like this was his chance at a new life. He contacted the present owner and found out it was for sale. With some luck and help from friends and family he was able to purchase the place. Since that time he has built a very unique spot on this earth.

Being a graphics designer and a video producer, he put his talents to work. He has been filming bands that come through, and putting the shows on dvd’s and on youtube. It is so unique to see a show there. It’s kind of like a private house show, with the band and the people who work there and the lucky passersby or fans and friends of the bands, mingling, hanging out, and even soaking together. A very intimate, unique experience.

I have personally been going there for 7 years now and counting. I have become good friends with Mike and all the other people there, and have even helped out with the filming of the shows. Here are some awesome videos from Mystic, i hope you enjoy them, and when you find yourself in the area, stop by and experience this magical, mystical, beautiful place for yourself. There is even camping and authentic pioneer cabins to rent, so come on down. Mike is also an awesome glass blower, and makes beautiful beads, etc. for sale at Mystic and on e-bay. You can find more info at his mystic hot springs website.

The pictures and article are interesting in and of themselves. The being able to hear the music gives an added element of interpretation of this beautiful place.
