A review of the L.O.S.T gig at The Tackeroo in Hednesford, Cannock 18th November 2010.

I watched this band play at The Tackeroo in Hednesford, Cannock 18/11/10 and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised.

I have heard a couple of their recordings and wasn’t sure about them, and I have to admit I wasn’t very keen. But my other half persuaded me to go and I have to admit, they are absolutely excellent live. The first couple of songs were ‘ok’ but I found it hard to get into the music, it wasn’t until they started performing more energetic songs that I really started to enjoy their music. I even started head banging!

The front man Shawn Booker, is very charismatic and really brings the crowd into the performance with jokes and lively banter. He is also very talented, playing rhythm guitar at the same time he sings, which to be fair is pretty impressive. Next up is Thomas Bishop on lead guitar, he is an excellent guitarist as well as back up vocals and is very energetic which makes for a great combination with Shawn. On bass was Danny Enza, he kept the rhythm of the song well, but he didn’t seem to be focused on the gig. The bass rhythm improved significantly when Shawn took over bass for a bit and Enza was on guitar. Lastly was Damian Reed on drums. He kept a good beat throughout the gig, and was focused throughout the gig, with all his energy going into every beat.

In all the band has a lot of potential to be absolutely amazing, they do need some work, but with more gigs and more experience this will happen.
