Hey there. My name is “kitkatking” and I’m here to talk to you about the instruments you should give your kids for band.
I myself am A bass clarinetist and i love this instrument. But I have to admit that the bass clarinet is proabably not the best instrument to start your child off on.
Now most elementary schools start kids off with the recorder to express their “hidden musical ability” but it isn’t all in vain. It does somewhat bring out their love for music. Now if it’s for band or orchestra is their decision. This here post is about band yo. Now down to buisness i will give you the top three instruments that will benefit you and the child.
1.) The clarinet- dun dun dun… Okay the clarinet is an amazing instrument to start off with and it can be very beneficial if you ever want to switch to bigger instruments of the same caliber like the bass clarinet or saxaphone.
This Instrument won’t be too bad to listen to… well except for the multiple high pitched noises that can be very annoying.
2.) The Flute- Ahh the flute a very beautiful instrument. Now if your child can get past the “I can’t play a note” phase then this instrument if the kid practices enough, will be an amazing collection of sounds in your home.
The flute at first will have repetitive noises over and over and over etc… But all that takes is ear plugs and a nice smile.
3.) The trumpet- Oh the last instrument i suggest is of course the trumpet. Now this instrument can be good for lightening up the mood in your house and can make your child very happy with it’s… loud….loud…. (sound)
