"The Wendigo"

Introduction:

The natives of Northeast Canada believe in the existence of a scary monster, they call it the “Wendigo”.

When a hunter doesn’t return from his hunting expedition, everyone assume that the Wendigo caught him.
Among this population a display of a phenomenon called “wendigo psychosis” is common, though it doesn’t exist anywhere else.
It is induced by the belief that the spirit of the Wendigo enters into a person’s body.

Accurate description of the Wendigo:

The wendigo is a huge creature which grows up to 5 meter and feeds of human flash.
It has large and threatening mouth with sharp teeth.

Also it whistles and makes creepy voices. Its eyes are very prominent, like an owl’s eyes, and have blood dripping from them.

It has huge feet with sharp nails. He lives in the forest and he doesn’t suffer from the cold.

You can’t kill it under any circumstances. As soon as it finds itself a victim, the poor guy has no chance to escape.

Reasons for this psychosis:The main reason for the outburst of this phenomenon is probably the inability of a human to bring food to his family, the most stinging failure in this society. And when this human can’t support his family he believes that the Wendigo took over his soul.

The person who has this syndrome will act like the monster, and will display a Cannibalistic urge. He will kill and eat his family, unless someone manages to stop him.

The sick person will believe that he will never regain the control over himself and will think the only solution is death.
