The Five Best Guitars to Date

These are in my opinion and many others, the best guitars to go for. Here i’ll list a couple of good beginner guitars and a couple of professional glories!

Ashton CG-44PK

This guitar is perfect for anyone beginning to play guitar. Frets are large, strings are a bit further apart, and tuning is easier than anything. This guitar has a bit of bulk to it, but even as a 4 year player of the guitar, I still have one and use it a lot to do covers and live performances.

Best of all, you can pick these guitars up for around about $200 so a great buy!

M. Grande Nylon Acoustic

This guitar is another that is great for a beginner guitarist. This one is a bit smaller, and has slightly smaller frets and string gaps. But I’m fairly sure it only comes in two colours. Many people in my guitar classes that are just starting out use these, and they’re great for learning control techniques, due to their fairly small size.

This brand of guitar is even cheaper than Ashton, coming to about $99.

Gibson SG

The Gibson SG is one of the most popular electric guitars to buy on the market. The Gibson SG, despite it’s fair weight, is small and compact, and has a very slim, smooth neck, making it easier to put your hands around. SG’s contain 2 humbuckers and a pickguard that covers to the other side of the humbuckers. They also have different sound tunings for different sounds and pitches.

SG’s come in at around $600-$800. But, you can pick up replicas for as low as $250.

Gibson Les Paul

The Les Paul is the best guitar for genres of music like rock, and pop. The Les Paul, works in nearly exactly the same way as the SG, except it has a very different shape and comes in a bigger range of colours. The limited edition Les Pauls contain 3 gold humbuckers, and are a lot more expensive. The Les Paul is a slightly fatter than the SG, because the back and front are slightly rounded, compared to the SG which is flat. Les Paul’s are used by some of the most famous guitarists in this era, such as Slash.

The Les Pauls’ come in at a fairly heavy price of about $2500. The Limited Editions and Signature Series come in at roughly $4000.
