Everyone have their own taste of music. so do I. I listen to mostly rock genre. here is my list of music and some recommendation for you.
1. 30 Seconds to Mars. this 3 men band is made up of the Leto brother; Jared (vocalist, Rhythm Guitar) and Shannon (drums) and also Tomo Milicevic (lead guitarist) have been my favourite band ever since their first album. this band have currently owned 3 albums and the latest is called “This Is War”. the first song that i listened to from this band was “Capricorn” (of album self titled).
2. My Chemical Romance. currently made up of Gerard Way (vocalist), Frank Iero (guitarist), Ray Toro (guitarist) and Mikey Way (bassist). this band have just released their fourth studio album, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. “Helena” (of album “Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge”) was the first song and also music video that had me glued to this band.
3. Alesana. this post-hardcore band is made up of 6 members; Shawn Milke (vocalist, piano, guitarist), Dennis Lee (vocalist), Patrick Thompson (guitarist), Shane Crump (bassist), Jeremy Bryan (drums) and Alex Torres (guitarist). this band has released 3 full albums and working on their fourth studio album. i got to know this band from the Rocksound magazine and the first song that i was smitten to was “Ambrosia” (On Frail Wings of Vanity And Wax).
4. Framing Hanley. made up of Kenneth Nixon (vocalist, guitarist, piano), Ryan Belcher (guitarist, piano), Brandon Wootten (guitarist), Luke McDuffee (bassist), Chris Vest (drums). this band is famous by the cover of Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop”. they have 2 albums up to date. the first song that i listened to was “Hear Me Now” (of album “The Moment”).
5. Tokio Hotel. Germany based band made up of the Kaulitz twins, Bill (vocalist) and Tom (guitarist), Gustav Schafer (drums) and Georg Listing (bassist). i’m not a big fan of this band but i listened to most of their songs. the first song that i listened to was “Monsoon” (of album “Scream”).
6. Fall Out Boy. even though this band is no longer exist, their songs will still be relevant to today’s context. it was formerly made up of Patrick Stump (vocalist, piano, guitar), Pete Wentz (bassist), Joe Trohman (guitarist) and Andy Hurley (drums). they were my first band’s obsession, thanks to “Dance! Dance!” (of album “From Under The Cork Tree”).
7. Metro Station. another band that is no longer exist. formerly consist of Mason Musso (vocalist and guitarist), Trace Cyrus (lead guitar, vocal), Black Healy (bass, keyboard), Anthony Improgo (drums). they were made popular by the song “Shake Shake”, which was also the first song that i listened by them.
