Which guitar is best for you?
After you’re played guitar for a while, you upgrade your equipment. Better equipment produces a better sound. When you go to buy a guitar, like at guitar center, you might find yourself lost because there’s so many guitar models and types to choose from.
When you buy a guitar the two biggest brands are Fender and Gibson. Fender has a more treble sound and Gibson has a warmer more bassy sound. The cause is the pick-ups in the guitar. Gibson use humbuckers and Fender have single coil pick-ups. Fender and Gibson are pretty expensive so you can buy a cheaper Fender or Epiphone, which is a cheaper brand owned by Gibson. Epiphones are the same guitar as Gibson except they’re not made in America.
It all has to do with perferrance. You might decide what guitar you want by genre. If you’re into metal, buy a Dean or Jackson guitar. They has pick-ups the give you the crunch the metal music has. A country player would use a Fender telecaster.
You might buy a fender because Eric Clapton plays a Fender. You might buy a Gibson because Slash plays one. When you listen to these artists you like the way the sound and you want to reproduce their sound.
