Alexisonfire, a great hardcore/punk band that everyone should listen to.
Alexisonfire:
Hailing from St. Catharines, Ontario, Alexisonfire is a five-piece hardcore band. Their Juno-nominated style was self described as “The sound of two catholic school girls in mid knife-fight,” which may refer to the subtle battles between the harsh screams of front-man George Pettit and the soothing vocals of guitarist Dallas Green (who is also known for his acoustic project City and Colour). Their musical style varies from album to album, but it maintains the same familiar, driving rhythms and complex guitar licks. The band is quite well known and has released four studio albums and an EP. They are currently working on their fifth album.
