How to play boulevard of broken dreams by green day on guitar.

this is basically a riff with two parts the first with 4 different notes then the second part with 5 different notes but 6 parts.  (if you don’t know how it’s supposed to sound like search green day boulevard of broken dreams on you tube):

  1. first start with an E,on your 4th and 5th string play both on the second fret your index finger on the 6th string and middle finger on the 5th string.
  2. second do a G, on your first and second strings (thinnest ones) put your first finger (pinky) on the  first string on the third fret then your second finger does the same except it’s on the second string then put your first finger on fret 2 on string 5 then finally stretch your middle finger over to the 3 fret on string 6.
  3. now for a d put your middle finger on fret 2 string 1  and on string 2  put your ring finger on fret 3  then your index finger goes on fret 2 string 3.
  4. the final part your pinky on string 2 fret 2 your ring finger on string 3 fret 2 and your middle finger goes on string 4 fret 2

now for the 5 notes (6 parts) your going to play this between every four times you play those 4 notes this in the how it is played section will collectively be called *5* all of the notes below will be played on string 1 and all notes will be played with index finger unless marked

  1. just play an open note (no fingers)
  2. fret 2
  3. from fret 2 you have to slide (don’t lift your finger) to fret 3 and don’t strum once you get to fret 3 to make it sound better
  4. now go (sliding optional from 3-7) to fret seven  and strum
  5. after strumming 7 slide down to 5 then leave one second on it then strum
  6. finally you play another 2 slide to 3

how it is played (note:the numbers 1 2 3 and 4 are from the first part *5* is all the second part played in order) (note: the period/dot . means not fast but leave a little bit of space between them each . is about half a second the more dots the longer it is paused): (1.1.2.2.3.3.4.4..1.1.2.2.3.3.4.4..1.1.2.2.3.3.4.4…*5*) play the numbers in the bracket until the song is finished there is also a chorus for my shadow’s the only one that walks beside me…. but i don’t know it.
