For all you fans of indie music and organic music, My Albatross would be an excellent addition to your Ipod playlist.

For all you fans of indie music and organic music, My Albatross would be an excellent addition to your Ipod playlist.
They come to you all the way from Manchester in the U.K. with songs like ‘A Rich Man’s Daughter’ and ‘Live and Live Lonley’ which have an upbeat indie feel to them. The type of songs you put on a warm spring day and enjoy the times. These songs have a raw and organic mood to them that can cheer up even the grumpiest of fellows.
Then they have songs like, ‘I Don’t Love You’ and ‘Spending Her Daisies’ filled with a calming atmosphere and beautiful melodies way on the other side of the spectrum. Like one of those songs you hear in those romantic movies. “…but I won’t forget the light on the mid summer’s night when she spent all her daisies on me.” Tranquility is their specialty.
Samuel Jenkin’s vocals blend perfectly with the acoustic guitars and tranquil drums. A truly talented singer whose voice needs no computer modification. Something that’s lacking in today’s main stream music. David Glancy’s bass and Eoin Miller’s drums naturally blend in with it all and complete the package.
My Albatross uses strictly acoustic instruments without the use of electronics. No computerized drums, synths or even electric guitars. This is music in its purest form. If you’re the type of person who appreciates this kind of music then you should check these guys out. Underneath is their unofficial video for their newest single, ‘I Don’t Love You.’
