Quick tutorial with pictures on how to make a standard snare roll with pitch bending. UBOmusic.com.
Usually on snare rolls you can make then anywhere from half a bar to two. I usally stick to a bar and have the pitch bend down through it. So lets get started.
I set up 2 bars here in the demo, fisrt bar i have my normal snares and the 2nd bar is the snare roll. As for the placement of the snares , millions of possibilities. Just take note to the different lengths i have and the pitch bending.
After you have your snares layed out and sound smooth we move on to the pitch bending of the snares.
Click the E in the lower left and then click pitch bend just to the right in the Envelopes tab. The grid will now be different and there will be a red line through the middle. Just make it go down till the last snare is at the bottom of the red as so in the picture below.

Simple as that…. I use pitchbending for almost everything in my track one way or another. From synths to drums it helps make your track more unique.
