Anyone that has hauled fuel and owns a Harley Davidson Sportster can imagine how some gasoline for motorcycles can be legally produced. Here is how one character uses his experience to fulfill his wishes.

Thousand CC Iron Head Sportster Fuel Mileage
Mike had ridden his old Iron Head Sportster enough miles to find out it was getting about fifty miles per gallon. Mike thought that was because the engine was so large and the Sportster frame was so small. Mike laughed after one long run when he stopped at a gas station and filled the two and a half gallon custom gas tanks up. He was able to pat himself on the back for switching the front chain chain sprocket from the small one choppers used back to the larger stock one. That had allowed the engine to run seventy miles per hour without revving up as high as the custom sprocket would have. Are choppers only made to ride slowly through town on a main street?
High Fuel Price Humor
This chopper owner really cracked up while the price of gasoline jumped over the head of everyone else. Mike could calmly tell himself that way back in his twenties, when his motorcycle had been purchased, he had made a major investment. One that was better than buying some stock. One that was saving him enough money to reflect a huge stock price increase. Mike would even laugh at the fact that his chopper was set up to look older than it really was. Who cares what people think when they see a gray bearded old guy racing around on a motorcycle that looks like it was made during World War Two?
Gas Tank Heart Attack
It’s just that Mike’s feelings of financial victory took a turn for the worst when the Federal government started making the mixing of ethanol fuel additive into gasoline mandatory. When that first happened his old Harley started running worse and burning three times as much gasoline just to ride slowly through town. Mike was just like a lot of other registered voters. He hadn’t been informed about the new fuel additive nor did he know what that would mean as far as motorcycle engine performance went. Should gasoline merchants be forced into quality control just like food companies are?
