While working on the Ironhead Sportster clutch it helps to kow all the parts one is made out of. This Ironhead clutch release mechanism figure shows the parts that are used to release the clutch plates and how the clutch cable works with the primary chain cover.

Starting from the right on the inside of the primary chain cover is part number 7. Then working outward to the left is part 8, then below that part 11, then above that part 12, then below that part 9, then part 10. Then at the upper left of the primary chain cover is part number 12, then working down to the right is part 15, then part 13 and then part 15. At the top of the primary chain cover is 16 the primary chain cover name and part 17.
