Pod Pleasure

Everyone loves music. Everyone likes something else. To be honest, I don’t have my favourite sort of music but some of the songs make me feel better. I want to share my feelings with other people.

Niech mowia, ze to nie jest milosc (Let Them Say That Is Not Love) by Piotr Rubik

Rubik is a Polish composer whose music is a treasure in his country. He has made the type of music that has never been heard before in Poland. The ‘Niech mowia, ze…’ is his biggest hit. I like it because it is a Polish comeback to Chopin’s time, whose music is a part of a national culture.

Wielka milosc (Great Love) by Seweryn Krajewski

I remember when I was a child, my dad used to listen to this song every Sunday morning. I didn’t like it at all. It was like music for dinosaurs! Now I like this song, because the lyrics are about real life and the music is amazingly ambitious! I understood that after long time. Better now than never!

Imie deszczu (Name of Rain) by Andrzej ‘Piasek’ Piaseczny

‘Piasek’ became famous in 1990s with a band called ‘Mafia’ but as a solo artist he made his biggest trucks. ‘Imie deszczu’ is the one that everyone in Poland knows and loves. Including me!

Aashiq Banaya Aapne (You Made Me Fall In Love With You) by Himesh Reshammiya

Bollywood – one of my biggest interests. Eastern music has a soul and this song by Himesh is a good example of what music means to Indians. When you listen to this song, even if you don’t understand the lyrics, you will feel what Himesh wants to say. It’s music from heart!

Regres a mi (Come Back to Me) by Il Divo

Simon Cowell is a ‘father’ of Il Divo. By giving them chance to exist, he gave a fantastic music to the world. This is a Toni Braxton’s ’Unbreak my heart’ translated into Spanish and sang with classical voices. Awesome!
