Old is always Gold, & when we discuss about Old Hindi songs Vs New Hindi songs, it is a topic of dispute.
Most of the Old songs are good as compared to new songs. The melody of old songs is still enchanting. Think about R.D Burman, Madan Mohan, Shankar Jaikishan & a lot others whose maximum song composed are evergreen
Agreed, new songs are composed using advanced technology & instruments , but most of the songs lack melody as compared to majority of old songs.
Today, the quality of songs is reducing day by day…
If we think about old music directors, their work is evergreen. But even, in this time some music directors do their job extremely well. Unfortunately some music composers have disappointed us. Some of the music directors are still contributing a lot in current days namely A.R.Rehman, but others are trying to increase number of songs by copying from Western music composers.
New music directors are victims of demand from young generation yet we happen to get great songs occasionally..
