Remember on of the first all female hard rock bands that became world famous in the late eighties?
Vixen was most likely the most known all ladies bands that played a bit louder than the average girls those days. They are often called the queens of metal.
The band was formed in the mid-eighties in Los Angeles by guitar player Jan Kuehnemund, the only lasting original member of the band, that also reformed after a split in 1991.
They had two immense albums in the late eighties: Vixen (1988) and Rev It Up (1990), released by EMI.
Later there was Tangerine (1998) and The Best of Vixen: Full Trottle (1999)
In November 2006 the Album Live and Learn was released in Europe by Demolition Records. In January 2007 this album was also released in the US. Also the CD and DVD “Live in Sweden” was released in 2009.
Here the past en current band members:
Vocals: Janet Gardner – Janet Sanz-Agero
Guitar: Jan Kuehnemund – Gina Stile – Jan Kuehnemund
Drums: Roxy Petrucci – Kat Kraft
Bass: Share Pedersen – Mike Pisculli – Lynn Louise Lowrey
