Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen – The Boss, has given us lots of sensational songs.
Born on 23rd September 1949 at Freehold, New Jersey – released his first album in 1973. But his second album, The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle in 1974 gave him the recognition. A year later in 1975- Springsteen released Born to Run to critical and popular success, and he was a bona fide rock star, nicknamed “The Boss”. The River, released in 1980 which gave him a huge success. His another major hit was Born In USA in 1984. His 2005 album, Devils & Dust earned five Grammy nominations, winning one for best solo rock performance.
One of my all time favourite Rockstars, still I feel charged up after listening his songs. Here’s a list of Top Five Springsteen songs (According to me) of all time. Enjoy!
My machine she’s a dud, I’m stuck in the mud somewhere in the swamps of Jersey…
What a write. Remember these lines?
You can tell her that I’m easily found
Tell her there’s a spot out beneath Abram’s Bridge
And tell her there’s a darkness on the edge of town
Lovely lines!
In the day we sweat it out on the streets of a runaway American dream
At night we ride through the mansions of glory in suicide machines…
At night on them banks I’d lie awake
And pull her close just to feel each breath she’d take
Now those memories come back to haunt me
they haunt me like a curse…
But when you get to the porch they’re gone
On the wind, so Mary climb in
Its a town full of losers
And I’m pulling out of here to win.
I hope all of you liked this collection!

Well, I am from New Jersey and am a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE Bruce fan! I have seen him in concert around 20 times. I have also read just about every book written about him, including authorized and nonauthorized biographies, and I have every CD and DVD he has ever put out. I hardly ever do this, but I have to correct you. Bruce’s second album, The Wild The Innocent and the E Street Shuffle almost ended his career. Although critically acclaimed by some, it did horrible in sales. He was told at the time, he had one more crack at it and if he didn’t do well on album three he was going to be dropped. Needless to say he stepped up with the Born To Run album, which to this day is his most popular and best selling. The return leg of the concert tour that he is on now is dedicated to that album, which he plays in it’s entirety, in the order they were put on the album. Other than that, your selections are good ones. My favorite is Badlands. I get chills every time I hear it.

The Boss is one of my favorite rock and rollers. I like the grit and working class feel of his work. Did I mention that the music is great music, too?
