A collection of rock songs I’d like to share.
Rock music is a kind of music that has a unique way of how it showed or expressed. With the prominent vocal melody, with the sweet sound of guitar’s distortion, and the extreme speed or accent of the beat of drums. Lots of people hates rock music coz of its heavy or loud sound of the music, but it is the art or way of how the others expressed or showing their feelings that they can’t show in normal conversation. Rock music rocks!
“Summer of 69”, become a monster hit when it has released. Wrote by Bryan Adams, telling us the best days of his life.
Hey Jude – The Beatles
Hey Jude wow..God I love this song so much! Every time I hear this song I remember my dad, I grew up with my dad being a die hard fan of this band, with there amazing and wonderful music. This hey Jude is one of my favorite all time song ever.
Like a Rolling Stone – Bob Dylan
“Like a Rolling Stone” by Bob Dylan. I think it was the most controversial song, and the best rock song of all time. Lots of people like this song so much, considering me, with the deeper and a meaningful message.
Imagine – John Lennon
GuysListen to this song, a very inspirable song of John Lennon. A vision or hope for the peaceful world. And I’m hoping that many people would listen to the message. For Peace.
With or Without You – U2
A very romantic song even it was rock song, Each time I’m hearing this song I remembering someone, me heart beats faster, I think I can relate. But I will never her name it’s a secret.
Livin On A Prayer – Bon Jovi
The Bon Jovi Band’s signature song “Livin’ on a Prayer”. This song was included in the Greatest Songs of the 80’s, And it was considered a classic, because of the song’s achievement.
Sweet Child o Mine- Guns N’ Roses
Everytime I hear the intro, I know it was “Sweet Child o’ Mine”, Coz it was the most popular riff guitar rock song, riff by Slash. It was my favorite to play in guitar, cool guitar instrumental solo, it stuck on my head.
Blaze of Glory – Bon Jovi
Another song by Bon Jovi “Blaze of Glory”, The Young Guns II music sound track, released in 1990. Sounds like Japanese music style I think.
Smells Like Teen Spirit – Nirvana
“Smells Like Teen Spirit” by Nirvana and controversial rock band vocalist Kurt Cobain. This was the first Alternative song ever to become a monster hit. Since alternative song implies lack of popularity, people started referring to the genre as Modern Rock. It helped ignite the grunge rock craze, characterized by loud guitars, angst-ridden lyrics, and flannel. In some magazine it was named the best modern rock song of all time.
It s My Life – Bon Jovi
“Its My Life” is Bon Jovi’s first single from the album “Crush”, released in year 2000. It is a song for the youth. I rely impressed Bon Jovi for this song coz they always shows what they got on song releasing, even it is modern times, they can easily to change their song to mainstream.
Californication – Red Hot Chili Peppers
Dream of Californication “Californication” by modern rock band Red hot Chili Peppers. This Is a song of new generation, The song is about how the world is becoming very superficial and plastic, much like California. The Red Hot Chili Peppers formed in Hollywood and are quite familiar with the quirky nature of life in Los Angeles.

I don t Want to Miss a Thing – AeroSmith
A beautiful song of Aerosmith that some will makes cry. With very emotional melody and message, I don’t want to miss a thing. A song for someone who will be living.
Iris -Goo Goo Dolls
I get goose bumps every time I hear this song just because of the lyric “your the closest to heaven that ill ever be and I don’t want to go home right now”. And I think this song is about something coming to an end and the person wants the other person to know how they feel about them before it’s too late “cause sooner or later it’s over”.
Jeremy – Pearl Jam
“Jeremy” by Pearl Jam. The song is about a 15 year old boy in Texas. He was quiet and never spoke and was picked on when he lost it and went crazy he went into his English class and shot himself. that’s what the song means by Jeremy has spoken. the quiet boy came into class and showed is fear and torture. That’s why the lyrics around the end say “my jaw dropped” cause the people were surprised that a quiet kid would do this and the blood on the students at the end was Jeremy’s blood because he shot himself.
Drive – Incubus
“Drive” by Incubus, I love this song because of its unique video, and acoustic guitar. This song is my favorite to play in my acoustic guitar. “Whatever tomorrow brings, I’ll be there, With open arms and open eyes yeah”.
Every Morning – Sugar Ray
90’s era rock song by Sugar Ray. “Every morning there’s a halo hanging from the corner of my girlfriend’s four post bed”, I think the halo signifies the girl is naive, thinks she loves him, she has a hold on him but wants out of the relationship because she is unreliable.
Only God Knows Why – Kid Rock
“Only God Knows Why” by Kid Rock. This is one of the only songs I like of Kid Rock. If he really means what he says, then in this song he completely lets go and is real. Every word that the song says I relate to.
With Arms Wide Open – Creed
This song has two different meanings, one was the birth of a child, and how he wanted that kid to never be like him, what he was. Another was God’s joy after creation of the world and how he loved his creation.
Hanging By a Moment – Lifehouse
“hanging by a Moment” by Lifehouse, I love this song cause it sounds smooth, I listen to this song if I want to get relax. Other says this song is a song for lovers.

This song is about how rules are made to be broken and warnings can be ignored. I like the bass of this song. It stuck on my head.
Wake Up When September Ends – Greenday
The song has a story: Billie Joe Armstrong the lead singer of Greenday wrote this song for his father. “Wake Me Up When September Ends”, When his father died month of September. He locked himself in his room, then when her mother got home and knocked on his door, Billy replied “Wake me Up When September Ends”.

Song for the Skaters. This song proves that you should see beyond the outside appearance and get to know a person before judging them.
My Sacrifice – Creed
It is about his relationship with the creator (God) and how he has transformed when he has followed his path. The scene when he pulls himself out of the water is an allusion to his own baptism, and the crap on the streets is a reference to the crap in his personal life.
Crawling – Linkin Park 2001

Great list, but why provide separate links for each song? What a pain! Why not put them all into a playlist on iMeem so that your readers can hear the whole thing without having to load another page for every single song?
