Favorites: Innerpartysystem, Nine Inch Nails, and Shiny Toy Guns

Innerpartysystem 

This band in not very well known by most people but it is one of my favorites.  Their music is very different then everything else. 

Genres: Alternative rock, Alternative dance, Industrial, Electronica

Band Members: Patrick Nissley (singer), Kris Barman (guitarist), Jesse Cronan (sampling, keyboards), Jared Piccone (drummer).

If you like this type of music you should listen to some of their songs. Probably the most likable song is “The Way We Move”.  Another song you might like is called “Die Tonight Live Forever”.

Nine Inch Nails “NIN”

This band also has a very different type of music.  

Genres: Industrial rock, Industrial metal, Alternative rock

Band Members: Trent Reznor (singer, instrumentalist, songwriter, producer).  Reznor is the only official member of the band but he usually outs together a band for performances. 

Probably the most recognized song from Nine Inch Nails is “Hurt”.

Shiny Toy Guns

This band was formed in 2002 and recently released their newest album “Season of Poisen”.  Their first album “We Are Piolets” was released in 2005.

Genres: Alternative rock, Dance punk, Post hardcore, Progressive rock, Synth rock.

Band Members: Chad Petree (singer, guitarist), Jeremy Dawson (synthesizer, bass), Mikey Martin (drummer), Sisely Treasure (singer, bass guitarist, synthesizer).

My favorite song by Shiny Toy Guns is called “Stripped”.  Another great song from their newest album is called “Richochet”.
