Many people go crazy about music. You have those music lovers who travel the world to experience different cultures and their music. Well, Jamaica has a mixture of different cultures and races but most importantly we have the liveliest music.
Reggae is a genre that came out of many different musical styles like that of R&B, traditional Jamaican music, men-to and much more. Reggae is characterized by a type of dynamite rhythm that makes you want to explode. Even though this is so there is a side to reggae called Roots reggae that is so soft that it relaxes the mind.
People travel from all over the world to come to Jamaica every year around July 22-25 just to come to one of the world’s most popular stage show, “Reggae Sum Fest”. At Reggae Sum Fest we have Dance-hall Night, Roots Reggae and International night. Roots reggae and Dance-hall nights are where local artiste performs and international night is where artiste from other countries show off their talent. I am sure you might have probably been there.
Jamaica is not only famous for Reggae Music but there are also other features. We have very nice people, beautiful beaches, sand and sunshine. With our beautiful scenery we combine this with our Reggae Music and you get one of the World’s Greatest Tourist Attraction, in Negril and Ocho Rios.

Another place you can listen to Reggae Music is to search on music sites such as MP3 Rocket and Lime wire where you can download music for free.
Reggae is turning into a “Global Frenzy“. People from all over the world even Mexico are adopting the “beat of the rhythm.’
Many international artistes are turning to do collaborations with Jamaican artistes. Check out this clip with one of our most popular reggae artiste Sean Paul alongside, Beyonce.
Reggae is fun, exciting and a way to forget the world of “Jazz and Blues”. Although, “Jazz” isn’t that “Blue”.
So from a little cottage in Negril I wrote these lines for you. For those of you who have never been to Jamaica don’t be afraid to visit. Many Americans and people from many other lands have come here for vacations, honeymoon and even to get into the groove. We have nothing less to offer than our friendly people, music and beautiful scenery.
So what are you doing there, you are supposed to be here!
“Jus come a Njoy Yu Self No Ma’an”. Reggae music is fun!

There are not very many songs in reggae that I know of but I think reggae is one of the few enjoyable yet ethnic sounding musics around. Really good article with some nice info for any reggae lovers.
