Reggae music is dying

Reggae music used to ease the pain of oppression,to console drowning soul , to wipe the tears of freedom fighters.When you listen to the likes of Bob Marley, Burning Spear,Peter Tosh,Lucky Dube the list is endless,with their songs we felt worth it.Their message was so strong that even now is still relevant to to days life.

It’s worrying factor that nowadays reggae seems to be dying slowly .There are no up-an-coming singers,when you want to read about new album from magazine or newspaper you hardly ever find new artist,what you read about is all genre of music except reggae.Even in music  competion is rear to watch want- to-be singers singing reggae music.

Lyrics from Lucky Dube song say “No body can stop reggae”.Though no body can stop it, if new artist don’t have courage to sing it ,it will die down for sure .This IS TIME TO CREATE ‘ I WANT TO SING REGGAE COMPETITION” to show case importance of this music and to keep it afloat with other genre.By doing this new reggae singers will emerge while it is kept aive
