A unique blend of hip-hop with other musical styles. 5/5.
The Somali born hip-hop artist’s sophomore album, Troubadour, mixes a blend of hip-hop, world music, funk, reggae, and rock to create a unique sound that brings you back to what hip-hop should be. Featuring Kirk Hammett, Chubb Rock, Mos Def, Chali 2na, Damien Marley, and Adame Levine, the album delivers what everyone can call music.
K’naan’s complex rhymes and soothing rhythms are a perfect match for his amazing talent. His lyrics are strong and touching.
“…Toronto-based rapper K’naan thinks like Bob Marley, flows like Eminem and mixes African music with conscious hip-hop, unabashed pop and even metal.”
