Decency – Down The Drain

The recent strip tease act by Madonna makes me wonder if any decency is left in the glamour industry. Gone are times when the celebrities were decent and humble, when they were respected for their demeanour. Being popular is not just about being beautiful, showing flashy clothes or lot of skin. It’s how they behave, how they grow into role models.

In an attempt to sizzle the headlines , the likes of Madonna, JLo or our indigenous Poonam Pandey are setting a wrong trend. When you got talent, you don’t have to reduce to such cheap tactics to grab eyeballs. Talent speaks for itself.

I may sound very old fashioned but what’s wrong with looking graceful and modest? Sophisticated rather than trashy? What’s wrong with conversing in a way that doesn’t offend the listener and dressing that makes some sense?
