David Bowie – The Legend. If you were asked, "so Dad why do you love David Bowie so much then?" The only answer I could give was, "well listen to my top 10!" Here it is, the definitive collection, in no particular order other than chronological, according to Pete Marshall.
1, Five Years – The 1st Track from my all time favourite album, The Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars, released 1972, by RCA Records. The album spawned four singles, Moonage Daydream, Starman, Rock ‘n’ Roll Suicide & Suffragette City, none of these however made it to my list.

The song starts in a slow, story telling pace that builds into a frenzied finale…
2, Lady Stardust – the 1st track of side two, & the 6th on the album, this is my second choice from The Rise & Fall Of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars.
The haunting piano, this song always reminds me of a dark smoky bar…
3, Ziggy Stardust - The 9th of 11 tracks, this is my third & final choice from The Ziggy Album.
Ziggy played guitar – and boy did he…
4, Time - the 1st track of side 2 and released as a single in 1973, this comes from the album Aladdin Zane, also released 1973 by RCA Records, and is the follow up to the Ziggy album. The album produced three other singles The Jean Genie, Drive-in Saturday & Lets Spend The Night Together, a copy of a Rolling Stones track

The opening lines set this song up…
5, The Jean Genie – released in 1972 as a single, this was the 9th track on the Aladdin Zane album
A pulsating beat that flows through out this song…
6, Lady Grinning Soul - The 10th & final track from Aladdin Zane and probably my favourite of the three i have picked from this album.
A haunting piano from start to finish…
7, Rebel Rebel – the 6th & final track of side 1 on the album Diamond Dogs, released 1974 by RCA Records. This was the first of only two songs released as singles from this album, the other being the title track Diamond Dogs

Hot tramp I love you so…
8, Wild is The Wind – From the Station To Station album, released by RCA Records in 1976. this is the last track of side 2.

Lasts for a magnificent 6 minutes and is pure soul..
9, Heroes – The title track from the album Heroes, released by RCA Records in 1977, & also as a single in the same year. this is the third track of side one.

A defining Bowie anthem…
10, Ashes To Ashes - The fourth track of side one from the album Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps), released 1980 by RCA Records. The song was a follow up to his early hit Space Oddity from 1969, revisiting the character Major Tom.

Amazing theatrics…
