Everyone poses secret inside them. Only few will remain as a secret, themselves. Billy Tipton is one such personality.
Those who love music, especially Jazz will sure know the name Billy Tipton. His two albums named Sweet Georgia Brown and Billy Tipton Plays Hi-Fi on Piano in the year 1957 were blockbusters of that time. He loved music as equivalent to his life and his favorites were Piano and Saxophone.

He was born in Oklahoma City, on December 29, 1914. After his parents divorced and went in two directions, he was bought by his aunt. His craze and love for music found him few chances to sing and play in the local jazz bands. He placed himself in his school’s band too.
Billy gradually gained popularity and was accepted as Musician in the year 1936, when he started and become band leader for the group KFXR. He had lots of female fans, who were totally crazy and mad on him. Even news often flashes Billy on headlines saying he is having good time and fun with his female fans.

Billy married Kitty Kelly, who was a nightclub dancer and stripper, popularly known as the “The Irish Venus”, in the year 1960 and this couple adopted three sons and named them as John, Scott and William. His kids were so proud of him and used to mention Billy as the best and a role model father.
Billy suffered with arthritis during his last years of life. He died in the year 1989, at the age of 74 on January 21. Now I know, you might be wondering, what the great secret is there, after reading this. I didn’t break it yet.
Yes. Here is the secret. Billy was born as Dorothy Lucille Tipton, a FEMALE baby to her parents. Billy didn’t change as a MALE because of any hormone or chromosome problems. In those days, girls playing in bands are prohibited in public and in schools. Since she was mad with music, she started to do cross-dressing and pretend like a boy. Later when she grew up, to maintain her manly look, she did breast-binding and packing.
This secret was known only two of her female cousins, till her death as a man named Billy. She derived the name Billy from her father, which was her father’s nick name. She converted her into a man, for her music thirst. But later, she started living like a man, having connections with females and finally even married a female.
The story she maintained among the females, she lived together, to make them believe about her structure and sex life was, “I met with a serious accident, in which my chest, ribs and genitals were damaged and broken severely. I had undergone lots of surgeries. That is the reason why I look like this”.
Aww!!! This person spent his / her entire life as a secret.
