Philadelphia International Sound.

Gamble and Huff, was the behind the scene team. They was the force behind many of the top acts. They was the soul that Motown lacked. But they was going for a different market in their day. And adjusted a little to late to catch up to the Philly Sound.

Eddie Levert and Walter William and William Powell blaze a song that Gamble and Huff wrote into an opera. The strings was different then the Detroit strings. And the story of the songs was done on a variety of subjects. And when Mister Powell passed. They recruited Sammy Strain, once a member of Little Anthony and the Imperials into the line up. And the hits continue. And with the great Cholly Atkins, of the Motown fame they had the steps. And the way Atkins choreograph them was totally different then the Temptations. That most true fans didn’t know he was the man behind their legendary steps.

And they was the other side of Ohio. Because on the other end was the Isleys brothers. So the talent was all over the state. Like the O’Jays was all over the radio.
