Lack of activity can play havoc with your life. If you’ve been spending long hours on the couch, its time you sweat it out. Halleluiah! Yes, you can stay fit by headbanging.
You don’t have to join a gym to stay fit. All you need to do is eat right and engage in strenuous physical activity. Your daily dose of headbanging can help you lose weight. Yes, it’s true. Headbanging is a strenuous activity that burns calories. If you’re not used to headbanging it’s recommended you start slowly before you switch to top gear. Individuals with stiff necks should avoid headbanging, but if you can’t resist the urge go straight ahead.
Benefits of Headbanging
There are no restrictions or rules in regard with headbanging. It could be front head- sways, side head- sways, circular head-sways, circle sways, windmill sways, or any movement you can think of for your head. Headbanging is an excellent neck exercise especially for individuals that spend long hours in front of the computer or the TV. You don’t have to attend a heavy metal concert and be a part of a mosh pit to headbang. You can do it anywhere! Indoors or outdoors, with music or without music, just roll your blues away. If you are headbanging for the first time you will have a stinging neck pain, its normal. However, gradually you will get used to it.
A word of caution! Do not overdo it. If you’re a beginner, start with a 2- 5 minute slow headbanging session in the morning and evening. As you get used to it, increase the time slot and get on the fast track on both sessions. Consider your age before you start headbanging. If you’re above the age of 50 it is recommended you opt for extremely slow neck sways, however, if you are a fast learner get it all out, feel free. Headbanging is an excellent way to calm the mind. There are times when the speed of thoughts play hell, in times like these just headbang! A small session of headbanging can help get rid of stress, negative feelings, and frustration.
If you have no clue about what headbanging is, the videos will reveal all… Here’s how the pros do it!

no, no, don’t ever do that. You can rupture disks in your neck. There are many safe exercises that will keep you in shape. Don’t do anything to injure your neck.
