Ozzy and Black Sabbath: Born Again!

Heavy metal legends band BLACK SABBATH is set to reform after 33 years.

The line-up will consist of all original members:

Ozzy Osbourne (lead vocals)

Geezer Butler (bass guitar)

Bill Ward (drums)

Tony Iommi (guitar)

After many months of rumours it seems the band are really going to make it work this time as singer and former reality TV show star Ozzy said:
“We’ve tried a reunion before and it didn’t work but this time, for some magical reasons…we’ve written seven or eight songs and they’re really good.”

The band re-formed back in 1997 and released a live album called “Reunion”. Their much awaited new album is set to be released next year. They will also be doing a world-wide arena tour as well as performing at the Download Festival in England next June.

Much to look forward to for heavy metal fans around the globe.

Black Sabbath formed back in 1968 in Aston, Birmingham, England and was in the early years called “Earth” (which Ozzy hated!) before thankfully changing the band’s name and becoming true pioneers of heavy metal music.

Ozzy Osbourne, undoubtedly the world’s most famous Brummie, was fired from the band in 1979 and went on to huge success as a solo singer. And yes, he DID bite the head off a bat but only because he thought it was a rubber one that a fan had thrown onto the stage!

Black Sabbath continued as a band replacing Ozzy with Ronnie James Dio (former singer of Rainbow). The band went through many line-up changes over the years but the original band members always kept in touch.

Tommy was happy to announce that it was now or never as the band is getting along so well: “It’s like putting on an old glove. It’s fantastic!”

So, for anyone out there asking “who the hell is Black Sabbath?” I suggest you go ask your dad (or grandad) and they might just give you a real lesson in music history – and if you don’t believe me then perhaps you’re paranoid.
