The masters are smiling from heaven.
The boys of Blue Note 7 have done a extraordinary job in commemorating Blue Note Records 50th anniversary. The party at Bennett Studios, and the video of them making this album was fabulous.
Lewis Nash is the only man alive who can play the drum as good as Art Blakeley. He is smiling down from Heaven on the great reproduction of his song.
Oh, You should hear Ravi play that sax. It is a good as his paw’s, the marvelous John Coltrane. Just grand.
Last, but certainly not least, you have to hear the pure jazz of the brilliant Bill Charlap play Thad Monk. Only Bill in his genius could do such as marvelous task .
Way to go guys!!
The Master’s are smiling and, the Blue note 7 are in the house. Life does not get much better than is.
Glory Be.
