Jay-Z at Glastonbury

We agree with you Jay Z you are pretty f***ing awesome! We took a trip to the famous Glastonbury festival and it was well worth it! Jay Z silenced the critics with his first ever headline slot at a major festival. Some, namely that idiot Noel Gallagher said that Jay Z shouldnt be headlining Glastonbury and some were thrilled that he had been given this chance. I for one was over the moon. He silenced his critics and proved that he is one of the best in the game. His intro left mouths wide open with his rendition of the Oasis hit “Wonderwall” he came out with an electric guitar and stunned the audience, he sure knows how to put on a show!

Now we all know Jay Z can’t sing, he is not a singer he was just making a point and I think he pissed off a lot of people by doing that, but I mean come on this is Jay Z we are talking about he made his point and he made it well so what, if he actually didnt know the words. Noel Gallagher said that Hip Hop doesnt have a place at Glastonbury but that is the most ridiculous ignorant comment I have ever heard! If Jay Z had no place at Glastonbury the field would have been empty when he was on and it was far from empty. Anyway enough of that, lets get down to the nitty gritty of things, the performance! He was pretty damn good he got the crowd going with hits like 99 problems, hard knock life and dust your shoulders off and he gave us a good show. He made references to George W Bush not so nice ones but hey what the hell, he is Jay Z! He played with a live band and showed that Hip Hop is “music” he showed his worth and he deserved to be on that stage. Despite rumours of appearances from Kanye West,Coldplay, Beyonce and Linkin park he took on the Glastonbury crowd on his own and we at Intrigue think that he won! His beautiful B was posted up in the VIP pit watching her husband wow the audience and it really was a great night that should go down in history.

Now anyone who thinks Jay Z didnt silence the critics at Glastonbury you are wrong!! The Sun gave him one of the worst reviews saying that the whole performance was a bore and that he could have pulled something better out of the bag! Well their reporter must have been deaf, dumb and blind, sorry to The Sun reporter but you dont have a clue what you are talking about. He did a brilliant job and people should respect him not just for his talent but for his pure genius, and for the fact that he has become so successful, the man is a walking money making machine.

Our verdict on Jay Z is that he is a pretty ****ing awesome!
