The spirit of jazz revived.
In the beginning of the 20th century in African American communities in the Southern United States from a confluence of African and European music traditions, Jazz music was born.
The term “Jazz” began as a west coast term of an unclear derivation and was first used to refer to music in Chicago in about 1915.
As the music spreads around the world, it has drawn both local and regional musical cultures, its aesthetics being adapted to its varied surroundings and giving rise to many distinctive styles.
And in Lagos, Nigeria, world acclaimed jazz legend, Jimmy DluDlu of South Africa with hit songs, “point of view” and “na jam session”, was truely called to play jazz,
the first night was a night of pure jazz music that makes one feel he needs to go back to the basis and think of the music
Lagos hosted Jimmy Dludlu in the Muson Festival of Jazz. In addition to the bands listed below Beautiful Nubia, pure and simple was at their most exhilarating best – a great time to take one back the root and source of real music.
Beautiful Nubia
Beautiful Nubia and his Band will bring you real and true country music sounds from the hills, porches and kitchens of the African Sahara. Playing sounding original material as well as a selection of the finest of traditional old-time songs
