A Short Film by Editor and Director Matt Moore. I’ll talk about the film itself, and I’ve attached links to many of the music videos out for them currently. The finished film should be ready soon, but this is a progressive comedy project that they hopefully will continue for quite some time.
The Finished HARD GRAVEL Video is up, here’s the link!

It’s like a mixture of Tim & Eric from Adult Swim, with Spinal Tap, a little bit of The Office, and a lot of early 90’s country. The story is about the band, Hard Gravel, and it focuses mainly on the lead singer Bobby Alexander.

Bobby Alexander and Chet Chestnut are a huge country music sensation known as Nut & Bobby, but the fame begins to be too much for Chet to maintain. He delves into the world of drugs with his Label Executive and Bobby Alexander is left out to dry because of his morals. The Executive gives Bobby an ultimatum, make a new band or you’re off the label. So Bobby creates a rag tag group called the Hard Gravel, they become a huge hit and even get a special on the popular County Music Series: The Coyote McCoy Show.

It’s part Mocumentary, part music video, part narrative, it’s all shot on EX1’s and HVX’s in High Def, but that didn’t keep them from filming on a green screen and using cheesy effects. It’s a hodgepodge of film styles and creates a great sense of levity. It has professionalism with childish antics as several of the actors "seem" drunk, if they weren’t actually drunk during the filming. Here are some of the videos they have out right now, and soon as the full project’s finished I’ll be sure to let you know how to see it! It’s creepy and awkward, it’s hilarious and confusing, and serious with a hint of insanity! Enjoy
