10 Country Songs You’ll Love: Even If You’re Not a Country Fan

I am a crazy Country Music Fan. But if you’re not, you will still love these songs!

I’ve added to the list songs that make me smile, songs that make me cry, songs that just speak of everyday life in a way that everyone can relate to.

Let me know how you like them and add your own to the comments so that I can add them to my next list.  The Songs are listed in no particular order so that you can decide which is your favorite.

IT’S FIVE O’CLOCK SOMEWHERE—Best song to quote when you want to party and don’t want to explain it!

Alan Jackson with Jimmy Buffet

Allen Jackson is one hot cowboy!  He’s a southern gentleman who makes this California girl wanna get me some boots and a pick-up truck; or just hop into the seat next to him.  Whew!  He looks better now than when he was a young cow poke.

This song talks about what we all want to do on days when work makes you nuts, your boss is being more of a jerk than usual and you know you just need a vacation QUICKLY!!!

Pour me somethin’ tall and strong
Make it a Hurricane before I go insaine,
It’s only half past 12 but I don’t care
It’s five o’clock somewhere
Lyrics by Jim Brown & Don Rollins

Haven’t we all felt that way on many a given day?

You will enjoy this one!!!

Help Somebody—Best good advice about life song

Van Zant

You probably know the Van Zant Brothers, Donnie and Johnny.  Johnny is lead singer with the Lynrd Skynyrd Band and Donnie is known for his musical days with .38 special.

If the lyrics of this song don’t make you stand up and yell, “right on brother,” then you have not a single country bone in your body.

“Don’t get too high on a bottle,
“And get right with the Man.
“Fight your fights, find a grace,
“And all the things that you can change,
“And help somebody if you can.”
Lyrics by Kip Raines and Jeffrey Steele

The message is not just universal; it reminds me to be at peace with ME because one never knows when check-out day might arrive.

Please give this one a shot and listen to the entire song.  It’s a beautiful thing!
