A list of r&b songs that are chosen as the wedding song.

We all have gone to a wedding at some point in our lives or have been a part of a wedding party. We all know what kind of music is usually played at receptions which can be rather corny or seem a bit ridiculous. Either way, the married couple always gets to choose what they feel is best and open up the reception with a dance to their song. Choosing the right song is typically done by the bride and many times over it can make all of the guests want to gag.

I have been to weddings where they didn’t play music at all. I am surprised that there are wedding receptions like that but they do exist. However, the weddings that do have music are usually the best times to act and dance like a complete fool despite the goofy music that is probably being played. Every now and then a great wedding reception will have a DJ that will play the best music or a live band that really knows how to play with a singer that can actually sing. Otherwise you will be spending the next couple of hours stuck listening to sappy and dull music.

There are those songs however, that make up some of the best wedding songs ever. In particular there are a number of R&B songs that fit into this category. We all know some of the pop or contemporary songs such as “My Valentine” or “After All” which are both great for weddings, but here are more famous tunes that are R&B and perfectly fit the sentiment of the moment.

  1. “On Bended Knee” by Boyz II Men
  2. “Here and Now” by Luther Vandross
  3. “Sweet Love” by Anita Baker
  4. “Three Times A Lady” by the Commodores
  5. “Lady in my Life” by Michael Jackson
  6. “Hello” by Lionel Richie
  7. “Saved the Best For Last” by Vanessa Williams
  8. “On the Wings of Love” by Jeffrey Osborne
  9. “She Drives Me Crazy” by Fine Young Cannibals
  10. “Crazy in Love” by Beyonce

All of these songs are some of the best choices for great R&B wedding songs ever. They became popular overall as well as having great success on the pop charts. Weddings wouldn’t be the same without them. Some of these songs have lasted over time and in years to come you will still hear these songs being chosen as the wedding song for the married couple.

ok #1 was bad enough but now i looked at the rest of the list and i gotta say i can only see a case for luther vandross and vanessa williams….i just don’t see the rest as deserving of being on the list and on the wings of love isn’t RnB it’s a pop song
