Ralph Stanley’s Mountain Music

Ralph Stanley’s mountain music is as honest and authentic as the mountains themselves. As Stanley says, you have to live it to play it. Success was a long time coming to Stanley. He played all the small town churches and school houses in a never ending round of tours until success finally overtook him in his later years. When Stanley sang his version of "O Death" at the Grammy awards in 2002 (where he won the award for best male country singer,) people said it was like the icy finger of death on every heart in the room.

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky was born in May seven 1840 was a famous Romantic composer. He is the most famous Russian composer from the Baroque, Classical and Romantic Periods combined. He wrote 11 operas, 3ballets (some of which are some of the most famous tunes in the whole world), orchestral music, chamber music and over 100 songs.
